ACCREDITED WORKSHOPS IN COLLABORATION WITH THE SLOVAK MEDICAL UNIVERSITY

One of the project activities was the organisation of sensitivisation and capacity building workshops for healthcare professionals. In cooperation with the Slovak Medical University in Bratislava, CEE HPN accredited the workshops to increase their attractiveness and motivate healthcare professionals to participate. Each accredited workshop was awarded 3 continuing education credits.

The workshops, entitled “Digital Transformation of the Patient Journey and the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Everyday Practice,” focused primarily on the digital transformation of the diabetic patient journey and on supporting healthcare professionals in implementing digital solutions in clinical practice. The programme covered the implementation of digital technologies along the patient pathway, the use of artificial intelligence in diagnostics, and the practical application of digital skills in patient care.

The workshops were held on 4 February, 4 March, 22 April and 20 May 2026.

Representatives of Aireen participated in the workshops and provided a practical demonstration of AI-supported diabetic retinopathy screening using a fundus camera. Representatives of Dôvera Health Insurance Company also contributed to the programme, focusing mainly on the motivation to participate in the project, relevant payment mechanisms, and Dôvera’s approach to the care and management of patients with diabetes.
